Dating to the first half of the 19th Century this two section Teak campaign chest with carrying handles, reinforced brass corners, flush drawer handles and a secretaire desk in the top section is in great condition. The secretaire has a selection of drawers with a centre door hiding a further secret drawer and two internal secret boxes. Both sections are marked with a brass plate for "Capt Fairbrother", one is numbered "5" and the other "6". I wonder what happened to numbers 1-4? Captain Fairbrother was probably Army but could have been Navy. Size: Height - 36.75" (93.5cm) Width - 36" (91.5cm) Depth - 16.5" (42cm) Height of writing surface from floor - 28.5" (72.5cm) Internal Ref: 30846
Dimensions
Height = 94 cm (37")
Width = 92 cm (36")
Depth = 42 cm (17")
