Description
Definitely originating in Asia and most likely Japanese, this substantial black lacquered sword stick has a serpent carved on the haft, a pineapple like plant on the handle, a face on the grip, a brass collar with a release button and ends in a small brass ferrule.
The blade is also a hefty piece of steel seemingly confirming its Japanese origins.
The haft has a slight bow and some of the lacquer is chipped and worn away, but generally the stick is in good original condition.
