Mid 19th Century in date this free standing walnut bookcase has three adjustable shelves held by turned pegs, carved friezes to the top and base and barley twist columns to each side.The finely carved friezes, which are not matching, may have been added at a later date, though in no way does this distract from what is a dramatic and attractive piece of furniture.
