Edwardian Wellington Secretaire Chest
Made of fabulously figured burr maple and rosewood this early 20th Century Wellington chest with a top drawer, three false drawers hiding a secretaire compartment and three lower drawers is in superb condition having just been restored and refreshed.
The fall for the secretaire has a green leather skiver, three rows of internal drawers below five open sections below a secret top drawer, which is large enough to hide a small laptop or ipad. Working lock and key.

English Sword Stick by Wilkinson Sword
Appears to be a gentleman's walking stick with a crooked handle, made of beech or hawthorn with a white metal collar and a rubber tip.
It is not the finest piece of English craftmanship but is well disguised and features a square section blade made by Wilkinson Sword and stamped "Mk V" probably made in the Edwardian era pre the First War.

Overall - 36" (91.5cms)
Blade - 27" (67.5cms)

Note - It is legal to own a sword stick, but it is an offence to carry one in public as it is considered to be an offensive weapon.

Etched Glass Perfume Bottle by Orrefors
A striking Art Nouveau glass cosmetics or perfume bottle etched with 3 fish, an underwater seabed scene covered by a net with a silver top.
The bottle is marked on the base for Orrefors with a pattern mark of K325 (see picture), the top is hallmarked for Sweden, date mark (V7) for 1923 and silver maker NJ. There is also an inscribed letter "G".
In very good condition with no chips or scratches.

Exquisite Victorian Ivory Locket
Absolutely stunning tiny ivory locket that opens by a spring loaded button to reveal two rose gold framed photo panels.
On the front panel there is a beautiful carving of flowers and foliage, the back is plain.

Probably made in China around 1875.

Fitted Victorian Mahogany Vanity Chest
Original and complete, a late 19th century ladies dressing table chest or vanity box in mahogany with mother of pearl escutcheon and top panel with working lock and key. Interior is fitted with silver plated topped jars, trays and bottles, glass pots with glass stoppers, ivory handled implements and a drawer for jewels.
Generally in very good condition, there is some evidence of wear and tear.

Four 19th Century Black Americana Chromolithograph Prints
Four colour prints produced in the last quarter of the 19th Century in a series very popular in post civil war America.
Entitled:
"Sambo's Courtship"
"Sambo's Wedding"
"Sambo's babys Christening"
"Sambo's First Born"
From a recent estate dispersal the prints are all in reasonable condition and will need to be reframed.

Four Hogarth Prints - "Election"
Set of four framed prints - "Canvassing for Votes", "The Polling", "The Chairing" and "An Election Entertainment" by William Hogarth (1697-1764) engraved by T. Cook.

Generally they are in good condition, there is some water damage to the mount of "Canvassing for Votes" (see pictures), and the frames could do with dismantling and new mounts inserting.

Gentlemans Travelling Silver Shaving Set
Edwardian 3 piece shaving set comprising containers for, razor, soap and shaving brush made in London by Percy Whitehouse in 1901 and retailed by Fisher,188 Strand, London.
In very good condition this set has a hammered finish and a group of initials on the top of each piece. There is an "H" and possibly a "W" and a "P".

George II Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table
A large early Georgian drop leaf dining or breakfast table in heavy Cuban mahogany (sometimes refered to as "red walnut") with a gateleg action on elegant legs with acanthus leaf knee carving ending in swept pony hoofed feet. Circa 1740.
This is a very attractive and useful table, it will seat six when open and stores neatly to the side of a room when not.
In need of some attention to the top, this is reflected in the price.

This fabulous walnut tallboy is in excellent condition, dating to around 1750, crossbanded and inlaid with fruitwood it has polished brass handles and escutcheons.
The rectangular cavetto moulded cornice above two short and three long cockbeaded graduated drawers, the lower part with two shorts and three long on shaped bracket feet.

George III Mahogany Serpentine Tallboy
In absolutely superb condition, and very rare, a serpentine fronted Georgian chest on chest, with beautifully figured mahogany, crossbanded in rosewood, fluted corners and standing on bracket feet. All the drawers are oak lined and the chest has just been subject to a sympathetic restoration and a light repolishing.
There is evidence that the top and bottom sections are not contemporary, the opinion being that the base chest was made originally in 1770 and the top chest was added 30 or 40 years later, probably by the same maker.
In the event the cabinet maker has created a spectacular piece of furniture that is very usable and of a perfect size.

An exquisite Georgian silver sauce boat or cream jug with hoofed feet and a dramatic curled tail handle. In fantastic condition, it is hallmarked for London 1785, maker's mark is worn - could be "JB" or "JS".

George IV Extending Mahogany Dining Table
A fine quality large dining table with 3 leaf insertions, in the manner of Gillows, raised on elegant turned and reeded legs terminating in brass castors.
The table with three leaves in will easily sit 10, with two leaves - 8, with one leaf 6 and without any, turns into a table for 4.
