Mid 19th Century 5 Dial Banjo Barometer
Mid 19th century 5 dial banjo barometer.
Mahogany case with a swan neck pediment and brass finial inset with 5 silvered dials, hygrometer, thermometer, convex mirror, wheel mercury barometer and level.
The main dial is 8" (20cms) and the case length is 39" (100cms).

Mid 19th Century Silver Handled Malacca Sword Stick
Very fine and in excellent condition this chunky silver handled blonde malacca sword stick is hallmarked for London, Castelberg Petitpierre & Co in 1862, it has an elliptical double edged fullered blade with the remains of the original engravings to the metal and ends in a steel tipped brass ferrule.
The silver handle has a great feel to it and is in exceptional condition for a cane of this date.

Mid 19th Century Silver Mounted Malacca Sword Stick
This Malacca sword stick has a heavily embossed silver repousse top, silver collar and silver ferrule, it has a double edged steel blade and is an extremely handsome piece. Overall condition is very good with some dings to the silver and some nibbles to the blade.

Beautifully made and in exceptional condition having been refreshed, repaired and waxed, this 19th century, possibly Georgian, miniature chest with two small and three long drawers, all with working locks could easily be used as a jewellery chest. Miniature Tunbridge Ware Cabinet
This exquisite miniature rosewood cabinet with 4 graduating drawers, a working lock with key, inlaid with end grain mosaic of flowers to the top and front, and end grain geometric patterns to the drawer fronts is in superb condition.
Purchased from the renowned authority on Tunbridge Ware, Dianne Brick, in 1990 and with the original invoice.

Mixed Set of 10 Rosewood Dining Chairs
Eight single chairs (five and three) and two carvers. The single chairs are late Regency rosewood slat back with carved back stretchers standing on reeded turned legs. The two carvers are modern reproductions made to match the singles.
All are in excellent condition and the drop in seats are covered in a mottled blue material.

Oak Tantalus by Mappin & Webb
Three Decanter oak tantalus with working key and lock, originally would have been silver plated but now with a faded brass patina. Made by Mappin & Webb during the Edwardian period the decanters are in lovely condition with no chips or cracks, an honest piece.

Oil on canvas HMS Victory signed E Robins
Very attractive oil painting of HMS Victory moored off Gun Wharf in Portsmouth around 1910 signed by E Robins.
The picture is in good condition having been cleaned, restored, and with a new stretcher in July 1990.
The frame can best be described as tired but serviceable.

Pair of 19th Century Shooting Prints
From the original drawings by R M Alexander and published by Fores, 41 Piccadilly, London in January 1887 these chromolithigraphic prints are in very good condition, mounted and framed behind museum glass.
One is titled "Pheasants - Right & Left at Longtails" and the other "Rabbits - A Quiet Day with the Bunnies"

Pair of Adam Style Silver Candlesticks
Very handsome pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks, Grecian style bowl with removable sconces above a fluted oval column and standing on a fluted base, they made in Sheffield in 1912 by Hawkesworth Eyre & Co and retailed by Rowell in Oxford.
They are in excellent condition.

Pair of Art Deco Silver Candlesticks
A pair of extremely elegant silver candlesticks, from the bowl holders down the hexagonal tapered column to the circular base reflects the style of the Art Deco period.
There are a couple of small dings but generally the sticks are in excellent condition. There is a slight difference in size.

Made in Birmingham by Britton Gould & Co.

Pair of Crystal Glass Purse Chandeliers
A strikingly attractive matched pair of crystal glass chandeliers, made in the 1920's or 30's and just removed from a house about to be refurbished, they will need to be rewired to conform with current standards.
Topped by a glass bowl above a gilt brass bell top cascading down to a central gilt brass ring the purse crystals of faceted stones and bars terminate in a large round crystal at the base.
There are 2 strands missing from the top of one of them but not obvious and easily replaced.

Pair of Crystal Purse Chandeliers
A strikingly attractive matched pair of crystal glass chandeliers, made in the mid 20th century and just removed from an apartment, cleaned and ready to hang.
Topped by a glass bowl above a gilt brass bell top, cascading down to a central gilt brass ring, the purse crystals of faceted stones and bars terminate in a large round crystal at the base.
One has two small crystals missing from one of the strands but otherwise they are complete.

Pair of Ebony Elephant Bookends
Made in India or Sri Lanka in the 1920s or 30s, these ebony Asian elephant bookends have secret compartments accessed by sliding the spines of the faux books to reveal the recess. Very well made and nicely carved, they are in good condition.
