Miniature Mahogany Chest of Drawers
Beautifully made and in exceptional condition having been refreshed, repaired and waxed, this 19th century, possibly Georgian, miniature chest with two small and three long drawers, all with working locks could easily be used as a jewellery chest. These chests are sometimes referred to as "apprentice pieces" or "a salesmans sample" but they are more likely to just be decorative for keepsakes or small treasures and jewellery.

Miniature Tunbridge Ware Cabinet
This exquisite miniature rosewood cabinet with 4 graduating drawers, a working lock with key, inlaid with end grain mosaic of flowers to the top and front, and end grain geometric patterns to the drawer fronts is in superb condition.
Purchased from the renowned authority on Tunbridge Ware, Dianne Brick, in 1990 and with the original invoice.
Truly a collectors piece.

48 pieces, all fiddle pattern, dated between 1795 and 1878, mostly London hallmarks, some Dublin. The majority have armorials on the back.

Oil on Board of a Young Horatio Nelson
Late 20th Century copy of a young Horatio Nelson as a midshipman framed in a 19th Century rosewood frame in reasonable condition.
I have an early 20th Century oil of "Victory" for sale as well, they make a good pair, make me an offer for both.

Oil on canvas HMS Victory signed E Robins
Very attractive oil painting of HMS Victory moored off Gun Wharf in Portsmouth around 1910 signed by E Robins.
The picture is in good condition having been cleaned, restored, and with a new stretcher in July 1990.
The frame can best be described as tired but serviceable.

Very elegant Edwardian mahogany lamp or side table with pretty delicate sweeping legs and floating undershelf.
Legs, shelf and main support inlaid with boxwood and ebony stringing, the top may have been re-veneered with plain mahogany and there is evidence of a repair to the shelf.

Pair of 19th Century Shooting Prints
From the original drawings by R M Alexander and published by Fores, 41 Piccadilly, London in January 1887 these chromolithigraphic prints are in very good condition, mounted and framed behind museum glass.
One is titled "Pheasants - Right & Left at Longtails" and the other "Rabbits - A Quiet Day with the Bunnies"

Pair of Adam Style Silver Candlesticks
Very handsome pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks, Grecian style bowl with removable sconces above a fluted oval column and standing on a fluted base, they made in Sheffield in 1912 by Hawkesworth Eyre & Co and retailed by Rowell in Oxford.
They are in excellent condition.

Pair of Art Deco Silver Candlesticks
A pair of extremely elegant silver candlesticks, from the bowl holders down the hexagonal tapered column to the circular base reflects the style of the Art Deco period.
There are a couple of small dings but generally the sticks are in excellent condition. There is a slight difference in size.

Made in Birmingham by Britton Gould & Co.
Hallmarked for 1934 - George V.

Pair of Crystal Glass Purse Chandeliers
A strikingly attractive matched pair of crystal glass chandeliers, made in the 1920's or 30's and just removed from a house about to be refurbished, they will need to be rewired to conform with current standards.
Topped by a glass bowl above a gilt brass bell top cascading down to a central gilt brass ring the purse crystals of faceted stones and bars terminate in a large round crystal at the base.
There are 2 strands missing from the top of one of them but not obvious and easily replaced.

Pair of Crystal Purse Chandeliers
A strikingly attractive matched pair of crystal glass chandeliers, made in the mid 20th century and just removed from an apartment, cleaned and ready to hang.
Topped by a glass bowl above a gilt brass bell top, cascading down to a central gilt brass ring, the purse crystals of faceted stones and bars terminate in a large round crystal at the base.
One has two small crystals missing from one of the strands but otherwise they are complete.

Pair of Ebony Elephant Bookends
Made in India or Sri Lanka in the 1920s or 30s, these ebony Asian elephant bookends have secret compartments accessed by sliding the spines of the faux books to reveal the recess. Very well made and nicely carved, they are in good condition.

Made in Sheffield in 1910 by Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson) this very elegant pair of silver candlesticks with their original sconces, Adam style urns on tapering faceted stems standing on octagonal bases.
In very good condition, there are a few minor blemishes mainly to the base.

Pair of Elm Windsor Armchairs
This pair of wheel back Windsor armchairs are very original, the patina is wonderful, the original black paint is worn back to the wood. Dating from the second quarter of the 19th Century, there is evidence of old woodworm and old repairs, they are solid and all we have done is given them a light clean and a wax.

Pair of Graduated Silver Tazzas or Comports
A stunning pair of silver comports or tazzas made in London by Wakely & Wheeler and hallmarked for 1913.
In truly excellent condition it is rare to find a matched stepped pair with crisp ornate fret work of vines, leaves scrolls and swags surrounding a solid centre.

Pair of Ornate Silver Plated Picture Frames
Late 19th or early 20th Century highly embellished silver plated frames with flowers and petals at each corner, foliate leaves and vines along the borders and a pair of standing lions at the base.
They can be hung on the wall or stood up on the lions against a wall. They could quite easily be turned into mirrors, the back panels are screwed into the frames, hence the whole structure is very solid.
In very good original condition, there is a leaf missing from one of the corners.
